â–º Patti Smith does her third and final L.A. show on this trip to the West Coast, tonight’s at the Roxy Theatre.
► Avid Dancer kicks off a residency at the Echo — the night, co-presented by Buzz Bands LA, also features Los Angeles Police Department and Northern American.
► Banta launches their residency at the Satellite — the night, co-presented by Buzz Bands LA, also features Hearty Har, Swiss Alps and Boroughs.
â–º Folk sextet Run River North does a benefit show for LINK (Liberty in North Korea) at the Troubadour, where they’re joined by Steven McMorran (of Satellite).
â–º LP headlines It’s a School Night at Bardot. Costumed crazies PPL MVR, along with Stone Cold Fox and Robin Bacior, also join in.
â–º Electro-pop quartet Scavenger Hunt have the residency at the Bootleg HiFI; LA Girlfriend and Nicky Blitz support on opening night.
â–º And at the Silverlake Lounge, it’s indie rock from Young Creatures, supported by Livingmore, Nacosta and Mars & the Massacre.
