Odd Future member Hodgy Beats is also a part of respective duos MellowHigh with Domo Genesis, and MellowHype with Left Brain, but he just released the 12-track mixtape “Dena Tape 2,” a follow-up to 2009’s “Dena Tape” and the first solo work he’s put out since an untitled EP in 2013. Hosted by Philadelphia rapper Don Cannon, “Dena Tape 2” features guest rhymes from aforementioned Domo Genesis and Hit-Boy, and production from aforementioned Hit-Boy, Left Brain, Like from Pac Div (Kendrick Lamar’s “Sing About Me”), Lupe Fiasco (“Coulda Been”), Marvel Alexander, Outkast (“Aquemini”), and Sap. Standout tracks are “Cudda Been” and “HakuemeniB,” but you can form your own opinion by listening below.
