Less than a year after her song “OctaHate” hit Soundcloud and started blazing into earbuds everywhere (6 millions spins and counting), Ryn Weaver’s debut album “The Fool” will be released. The 22-year-old southern Californian, who worked in the studio with producers Benny Blanco and Passion Pit’s Michael Angelakos, will unveil the album on June 16, and the title track is exemplary of why she’s been tagged as an artist to watch by MTV, Time, Huffington Post and myriad other outlets who make lists like that. “The Fool,” with its bright, agile vocals, is an upbeat confessional that flashes its club-banger self at the 3:15 mark. What’s the over/under on the number of remixes this will spawn?

Wow, you can really hear the Passion Pit influence here. Really a good thing. Well done!
