Who: Action Bronson on the Main Stage
In 3 or Fewer Words: F*ck, that’s delicious.
Memorable Because: Action Bronson was not the one-man marijuana dispensary he was in 2013, but he was still unforgettable. The Queens rapper, backed his DJ Alchemist, regaled the crowd with songs from his new album “Mr. Wonderful” (highlights: “Baby Blue,” “Actin’ Crazy,” “Strictly 4 My Jeeps” and “Falconry” and repeatedly clambered over the barriers to do meet-and-greets with his fans. “Every time I do something athletic, I should get a round of applause,” the chef and host of the web series “F*ck That’s Delicious” told the crowd. Pimping the latter, he said, “This rapping is a hobby right now.” The cameos by Big Body Bes and Meyhem Loren didn’t add too much sizzle to the proceedings, but George Lopez gave a quick wave from the side and fans who 1) repped Action Bronson’s heritage by waving an “Albania” banner and 2) playfully tugged on his beard immediately became the coolest kids in a huge afternoon crowd.
What I’d Tell My Friends Who Head to George Ezra: He canceled his set due to laryngitis, and hopefully you didn’t make a wrong turn finding other entertainment.
