Who: Hozier on the Main Stage
In Three Words or Fewer: Just take me.
Memorable Because: While U.K. funksters Jungle did their best Prince imitation, Hozier did without the pretenses, offering a forgettable “Jungle Love” cover — along with surprise guest Este Haim — on the Main Stage before corrupting Coachella’s cool with his ever-present hit single “Take Me to Church.” You’ve heard that one — crackling over the PA in an AT&T store or Walgreens checkout line, or perhaps while stuck on the 405 in your boring friend’s KIA, its ever-present flat melody smearing malaise across your numbed brain. Why should Coachella ever feel like that?
