Sean Guerin and Isaac Franco — aka De Lux, aka Those Nice Lads From Down the Block in Echo Park Who Played Every Show You Attended in 2014 — are stretching their wings. It’s only been a year since the dance-punk revivalists released their debut album “Voyage,” and this week they announced their sophomore effort “Generation” would be out June 26 (via Innovative Leisure). The new release figures to expand on their sound; the album announcement notes that the duo found some new studio toys, such as Adrian Belew’s synthesizer guitar, and some new lyrical inspirations, such as the work of poet/performance artist Karen Finley. “Generation,” the duo says, “charts distance between childhood and adulthood, nostalgia and aspiration and dream and reality.” And, in the first single “Someday Now,” the distance between now and “Talking Heads: 77.”
