Color me a little bit giddy about this week’s L.A. Buzz Bands Show on KCSN (88.5 FM, streaming at KCSN.org). It’s virtually all fresh, starting a song from Nik Freitas to kick off the show and one by Moses Sumney to close it out. In between, I’ll have new tunes from L.A.-artists-you-should-know like PHASES, Best Coast, the Bad Years, Max and the Moon, the Janks and Huxlee, along with songs from soon-to-arrive albums by Alexa Melo, Tyler Lyle, Two Sheds and the Silver Lake Chorus. Below, the playlist, subject to last-minute tweaking:
Nik Freitas, “Anyone Listening”
Best Coast, “Feeling OK”
Corsica Arts Club, “Don’t You Drift On By”
PHASES, “I’m in Love With My Life”
Max and the Moon, “Actor”
Alexa Melo, “Still Right Here”
Talk in Tongues, “Still Don’t Seem to Care”
The Janks, “Do It Anyway”
The Bad Years, “Beautiful Liar”
Nicky Blitz, “Hawk”
The Moth & the Flame, “Young and Unafraid”
Hunny, “Cry for Me”
Huxlee, “22”
Two Sheds, “You Get to Me”
Tyler Lyle, “Winter Is for Kierkegaard”
The Silver Lake Chorus, “Hold Up For”
Moses Sumney, “Seeds”
… thanks for listening
