L.A. psych-rock explorer Ariel Pink, indie-rockers Real Estate, Oklahoma roots-rocker JD McPherson and New Orleans horn kings the Rebirth Brass Band are among the highlights of this year’s Twilight Concert Series at the Santa Monica Pier. The free concerts, part of the KCRW Summer Nights Series, run for 10 Thursday nights from July 9 to Sept. 10.

The popular Twilight series [pictured: Charles Bradley playing the beachfront last September] kicks off with Morris Day and Dam-Funk on July 9 also includes Latin all-stars ¡Cubanismo!, dancehall singer Sister Nancy and pop veterans Jefferson Starship.
