Black Crystal Wolf Kids, the L.A. sextet that specializes in covering popular (and sometimes not-so-popular) indie-rock bands, will headline the summer’s first installment of Roaring Nights at the Los Angeles Zoo. The series annually brings music, food trucks, games and other activities to the zoo for a night that includes zookeeper talks, educational activities and a look at the zoo’s new jaguar home.

Roaring Nights continues on July 24 and Aug. 21; the musical headliners have not yet been announced.

Tickets for the (18-and-older) event are $20; $17 for Greater Los Angeles Zoo Association members.
