Stream: Beck, ‘Dreams’

Surprise, surprise. Beck this morning released a new single. It’s titled “Dreams,” and it’s an electro-pop jam that sounds a lot like of other electro-pop jams that have infiltrated the mainstream the past few years (MGMT, maybe?). But it’s Beck, who somehow still looks like a pop kid even though he turns 45 in 2 1/2 weeks. And you can dance to it, unlike his folky 2014 classic “Morning Phase,” which won a Grammy, not to mention the hearts of thousands of Kanye West fans. Beck and producer/songwriter extraordinaire Greg Kurstin do all the playing and singing; they also produced the song, having co-written it with Andrew Wyatt. Bust out the party drinks.
