Brian Wilson

A Saturday in June, an embarrassment of riches:

► The legendary Brian Wilson, accompanied by Al Jardine and Blondie Chaplin, plays the Greek Theatre behind his new album “No Pier Pressure.” Fellow septuagenarian Rodriguez (“Searching for Sugar Man”) opens.
► At the Hollywood Bowl, it’s the official opening night, with Journey, the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra and the Youth Orchestra Los Angeles.
Shannon & the Clams [see “Corvette”] play the monthly free series Saturdays Off the 405 at the Getty Center.
Cayucas, whose new album “Dancing at the Blue Lagoon” comes out Tuesday, play a free KCRW Summer Nights show at One Colorado in Pasadena.
Wattstax, celebrating the historic 1972 concert and award-winning film that featured Stax Records’ Isaac Hayes, the Staple Singers, the Bar-Kays and more, goes off at Grand Performances at California Plaza, with funk, soul, dancing and comedy. Vocalists will include Jimetta Rose, Nia Andrews, N’Dambi, Dustin Gwarren, Anderson Paak, John Bigham, Kadhja Bonet, Loren Oden, Fanny Franklin, Chris Pierce and some surprise guests.
► And Karl Wallinger brings World Party back through L.A. [last time was great], headlining the Troubadour with Gabriel Kelley supporting.
