There’s so much Saturday about this Saturday:
► Chinatown Summer Nights kicks off its summertime series, with the Janks, Quarterback, Tolaku, Alexa Melo, Sneakout and the Fontaines (along set KCRW DJs Anthony Valadez and Raul Campos), at the Chinatown Central Plaza.
► Lots going on with the BET Experience downtown: Ice Cube, Kendrick Lamar & Snoop Dogg with Schoolboy Q, Jay Rock and Ab-Soul play the Staples Center; the Roots and Eryka Badu perform at Club Nokia; and Janelle Monae and Wondaland do an early show at the Fan Fest at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
► Best Coast (pictured) headlines the Wiltern behind the new album “California Nights,” with Bully opening.

► Japanese instrumental rockers Mono, who released two albums last November (“The Last Dawn” and “Rays of Darkness”), headline the Troubadour, with Holly Hunt opening.
