The Pershing Square Summer Series has announced its 2015 slate of free shows, highlighted by double-bills featuring Shelby Lynne [pictured] and the Jayhawks on Aug. 1 and Rickie Lee Jones and Joseph Arthur on July 25.

The annual summertime fare at the downtown park kicks off with a series of lunchtime concerts on Wednesdays starting July 8; sunset salsa concerts on Thursdays starting with Poncho Sanchez on July 9; six weeks of Friday night movie screenings; and the popular Saturday night concert series starting with Big Bad Voodoo Daddy and Preston Smith on July 11.

On Saturdays, the concert lawn is open to the public at 7 p.m., with music starting at 8. Food trucks and a full bar will be available. Entrance is at 6th and Olive streets. [See the park’s policies.]
