Neo-soul trio KING — twins Paris and Amber Strother and Anita Bias — kick off the Figat7th Downtown Festival on Friday night, bringing their silky songs to the plaza as the series began an eight-week run of free shows. Oakland singer Mara Hruby opened the night with a well-received set of jazzy R&B. The series continues next Friday with Superhumanoids and Tropics.
