► Steely Dan and Elvis Costello team up for a night at the Hollywood Bowl.
► The XXL Freshmen Tour brings up-and-coming rappers Fetty Wap, Vince Staples, DEJ Loaf, Goldlink, Raury, Tink, Shy Glizzy, OG Maco, K Camp and Kidd Kidd to Club Nokia.
► Ryn Weaver headlines the El Rey Theatre behind her debur album “The Fool,” with Sam Dew supporting.
► Hunter Hunted, on tour with Young Rising Sons, celebrate the release of their debut album “Ready for You” with a show at the Roxy.
► Their eighth album “Untethered Moon” just out, Built to Spill begins a three-night stand at the Troubadour, joined by Canadians Slam Dunk.
► Phantoms [pictured] play It’s a School Night at Bardot along with Corsica Arts Club, Fort Lean and Mas Ysa. Below, their Ace Norton-directed video for “Voyeur.”
► Beach Party continue their residency at the Echo, supported by Clean Spill, CG Roxanne and the Nightmares and the Pesos.
► Sonny Boy Thorn continue their residency at the Satellite, with Bones Muhroni, Vs Colour and Prism Tats opening.
