Tune-Yards, who opened for Death Cab for Cutie on Sunday night at the Hollywood Bowl, has been added to the lineup for the Twilight Concert Series at the Santa Monica Pier. Merrill Garbus and gang, who did L.A. dates at the Fonda and Wiltern last year in support of her latest album “Nikki Nack,” will close out the Pier series on Sept. 10. L.A.’s Avid Dancer will support.

The 10-week series of free Thursday night concerts on the beach continues this week with Real Estate and Hippo Campus.
