Hanni El Khatib, Dengue Fever, Superhumanoids head up lineup for Echo Park Rising on Aug. 14-16

Hanni El Khatib, Dengue Fever and Superhumanoids highlight the first wave of bands announced today to play Echo Park Rising, the free festival at various venues throughout the neighborhood. The three-day affair runs Aug. 14, 15 and 16. More bands will be announced soon (including the lineup for the Buzz Bands LA stage).

Echo Park Rising, which began in 2011 after the demise of the neighborhood festival Sunset Junction, will add a couple of new venues this year, along with other activities. More info to come.
