Tonight’s Los Angeles shows:

► The Kills — Jamie Hince and Alison Mosshart — haen’t released an album since 2011 — but they continue their rigorous touring schedule. They play the El Rey Theatre tonight, with Baby in Vain opening.
► Heems, Pictureplane, Bosco and SPEAK team up for a big night at Check Yo Ponytail at the Echoplex.
► It’s another night with Social Distortion at the House of Blues. The Jade Jackson Band opens.
► Babes with their debut album on the way in late October, play It’s a School Night at Bardot. Also on tap: Machineheart, Royal Tongues and 1st Vows.
► Beach Party close out their big residency at the Echo, joined by Gooch Palms, Cigarette Bums and Black Prism.
► Sonny Boy Thorn winds up its residency at the Satellite, supported by Social Studies, Mosquito and Christina Kelly.
► And it’s the finale of Sleep State’s stand at the Silverlake Lounge as well. A big night includes Foreign Language, Genre, My Double My Brother and Burning Jet Black.
