It’s been six years since Warren G’s last album, 2009’s “The G Files,” but this week he will release a new EP titled “Regulate… G Funk Era, Pt. II,” the sequel to his classic 1994 album “Regulate… G Funk Era.” The five-track effort culls unreleased hooks from the late Nate Dogg, who passed away in 2011, and pairs them with some appropriate G-funk production, as well as new contributions from E-40, Too $hort and more. Lead single “My House” has Nate interpolating Madness’ 1982 track “Our House” with a heavy dose of bass and vibrant synths as Warren rattles off a list of possessions he’s earned over the years, while “Keep On Hustlin'” rolls out more of Nate Dogg’s signature and smooth baritone voice over a groovy West Coast coast beat, with guest verses from Southern rappers Bun B and Young Jeezy.
