Culture Collide festival brings Ash, Ladyhawke, the Mynabirds, the Juan MacLean and Vieux Farka Toure to Echo Park on Oct. 8-10

Long-running U.K. rockers Ash, New Zealand singer-songwriter Ladyhawke, indie standouts the Mynabirds and electro wizard the Juan Maclean head up the lineup for this year’s Culture Collide festival, which brings an array of international artists to Echo Park beginning Thursday, Oct. 8.

The annual festival brings shows to the Echo, Echoplex, Taix and the Echo Park United Methodist Church. New this year is a partnership with the Modern Sky Festival, which brings four indie artists from China (Miserable Faith, Hedgehog, New Pants and Song Dongye) to the Regent Theater on Oct. 9 (a separately ticketed event). More artists will be announced, organizers said. Plus, there will be an independent label market in the Taix parking lot on Oct. 10.

Tickets are $20 for each Echoplex show, which enables attendees to attend any Culture Collide show. Or there is a $10 per day option for fans who want to see the showcases but skip the Echoplex shows. Ticket information here.
