► Orquesta Buena Vista Social Club [see our feature/interview] visits the Hollywood Bowl, joined by Diego El Cigala.
► Bloc Party does a pre-FYF Fest show at the Glass House in Pomona, with the Active Set opening.
► It’s Kelly Clarkson and Pentatonix at the Staples Center.
► With her fifth album “Woman” just out, Jill Scott headlines the Greek Theatre, with Lecrae and B.J. the Chicago Kid opening.
► Florida lo-fi indie-pop duo Sales headline the Echo, with Babes and Hi Ho Silver Oh at the Echo
► And with their first album in nine years “All Is Illusory” just out, Northern California’s the Velvet Teen headline the Satellite. Lake Effect and Howler support.
