Live, L.A. Takedown swells to a talented half-dozen bodies, but the band is actually the creation of one mad scientist, Aaron Olson. His new opus, “L.A. Takedown,” is a 44-minute-long single piece of music that showcases his love for cinematic instrumentals, the 1980s, and the talent he wields in his mighty mind-hand coordination, as he plays all the synths, guitars, bass and drums that weave together in the piece. While the album will be released by Ribbon Music on vinyl on Nov. 20, right now it is streaming on the band website, paired with visuals by Matt Hewitt and Conor Collins that refresh with every visit to the page. Don’t have the patience to keep coming back to hear different bits of the music, despite your affinity for watching water ebb and suns set? With one click all 44 minutes can be yours. There’s a button appropriately titled “MUSIC NOW” at the bottom of the page for downloading the album, free.
