Dirtybird Campout announces set times

It’s almost October, but summer’s not really over yet — at least, not the way the promoters behind the Dirtybird Campout look at it.

Set times have been announced for the inaugural festival, which goes off Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Oak Canyon Park in Orange County and is equal parts an electronic music event and summer camp. San Francisco-based house standout Claude VonStroke (who dresses the part in his latest promotional photo) headlines Saturday night, and he’s joined on the bill by the likes of Justin Martin, Daniel Bell, Breach, Lee Foss, J. Phlip, Lunice and Nosaj Thing.

The twist is that besides the music — which goes on until dawn the first two days — there are a host of “camp activities.” Apparently appealing to everybody’s inner kid, there’s volleyball, badminton, basketball, miniature golf, kickball, a nature hike, dodgeball, kickball, tug-of-war, relay races, yoga, archery (be careful out there) and boating. All make use of the woodsy venue, the former home of the Lightning in a Bottle festival.

Three-day passes are still available for $180 (including fees). Tickets, and other options, can be found here.
