British duo Aquilo, who signed to Harvest Records last month, dipped their toes in American waters for the first time over the weekend, and made their L.A. debut on Saturday at the Echo. The band — Tom Higham and Ben Fletcher, expanded to a four-piece live — will release a full-length early next year, but it was clear from the reception at the Echo that their most recent singles, “Good Girl” and “Put Me Down,” have already cemented places in fans’ electro-pop dreams. Lontalius, the nom de tune of New Zealand’s Eddie Johnston, opened.
