Anybody hear about this new Adele song? Yes? You must have, because the video has 2 million-plus views in 24 hours. “Hello” is the first heartstrings-tugger from Adele’s forthcoming album “25,” and the video sees her collaborating with (and sparing no expense, apparently) young Quebecois filmmaker Xavier Dolan, who at 26 has piled more international festival awards than Adele has No. 1 singles.

“It was incredible working with Xavier,” she told Zane Lowe today on Beats1 Radio. “I learned a lot and it made me want to be an actress. He had me crying and acting. .. and I’m really, really proud of it. It’s not like a groundbreaking video in terms of effects and dance moves, but it’s my best video and I’m so proud of it.” The short film, part of which was shot in IMAX, features Tristan Wilds of “The Wire” and portrays the singer flashing back to an old relationship. Adele’s new album will be out Nov. 20.
