Summer Twins

“Everyone has their own ‘demons,'” says Summer Twins singer/guitarist Chelsea Brown. Typically, these demons are red, snarling little devils, most people would imagine. But in the world inhabited by Chelsea and sister/bandmate Justine Brown, demons have flowers for eyes and wrestle them for control of their picnic minds. That’s the rough outline for the “Demons” video, inspired by the 1966 Czech film Sedmikrásky (in English: “Daisies”). Taken from their new Burger Records-released album “Limbo,” the song is a breezy slice of sunshine peppered with rocking guitar, and means to encourage the listener to embrace those pesky demons and pursue their dreams. Continues Brown, “… If you can find the courage to face them and explore that darker side of your mind that you’d often rather ignore, you might just have a breakthrough and discover artistic bliss. In a way these demons are the catalyst in making your vision come to life — they may just put you through hell first.” Her vision of hell is cute.
