There’s something to be said for just hanging around the studio barefoot until you nail the harmonies, right? And the L.A. trio Distant Cousins do nail them, in vintage CSN&Y fashion, on the new song “For a Moment.” The tune is from the new six-song EP just out from the singing and songwriting threesome of Ami Kozak, Dov Rosenblatt and Duvid Swirsky, whose collaborative efforts working for film and television grew into a band. The setting for the no-frills video is Elliott Smith’s old digs, New Monkey Studios in Van Nuys. For a moment, Distant Cousins’ harmonies will warm the coldest of hearts.
