► Ride’s reunion tour, which created quite a stir in the spring when they visited Southern California, swings back through L.A. again as they visit the Wiltern. Last week the U.K. shoegazers released the 25th anniversary edition of their debut album “Nowhere.”
► Shana Halligan [see “So Crazy”] celebrates the release of her new album “Back to Me” on a loaded night at the Hotel Café — Freedom Fry, Wartime Recitals, the Accidentals and Mothlight also perform.
► With a new album in the works for 2016, Welsh trio the Joy Formidable play a sold-out show at the Masonic Lodge at Hollywood Forever Cemetery.
► At the El Rey Theatre, it’s the Underachievers, along with Pouya & the Buffet Boys, Kirk Knight and Bodega Bamz.
► Gardens & Villa [see our interview] headline the Roxy in their first hometown show since the release of their third album, “Music for Dogs.” De Lux supports.
► Tamaryn plays the Echoplex in support of the new album “Cranekiss,” with Froth and Roses opening.
► Australia’s Flume, aka Harley Streten, who has been living in L.A. and working on new music, does a show at the Mayan along with River Tiber.
► And Folk Riot holds forth at the Silverlake Lounge, along with LA River Bend and Bones Muhroni.
