► Meg Myers plays her first hometown show since the September release of her debut album “Sorry,” headlining the El Rey Theatre and joined by Dark Waves and Armors.
► The week marks the 100th anniversary of the death of Joe Hill, the labor activist and songwriter who’s been memorialized in a host of folk and protest songs. His legacy is saluted tonight at the Troubadour at the Joe Hill Centenary Concert, featuring Tom Morello, Joan Baez, Ziggy Marley, Rich Robinson, Boots Riley, Tim Armstrong, Wayne Kramer, Van Dyke Parks, Jill Sobule and the Last Internationale.
► Youth Lagoon headlines the Fonda Theatre behind the album “Savage Hills Ballroom.” Taylor McFerrin & the Dream Ride support.
► Matthew Logan Velasquez, the Delta Spirit frontman, continues his residency at 613 in downtown L.A., where he’s joined by Guards.
► Minneapolis trio Strange Names rock the Bootleg Theater behind their album “Use Your Time Wisely.” MUNA and Line & Circle are two good reasons to get there early.
► And Riothorse Royale headlines the Echo on a big night featuring the Cold & Lovely, United Ghosts and Hawai.
