Elvis Costello schedules 4 Southern California dates in April

Elvis Costello will bring his solo “Detour” tour to Southern California in April for four concerts, including back-to-back nights at the Theatre at Ace Hotel.

Costello just released his memoir, “Unfaithful Music & Disappearing Ink,” to warm reviews, and his solo dates have seen him perform with guitar and piano in front of a large screen showing family photos, riddles, mottos and other ephemera. His latest musical release was the 2013 collaborative album with the Roots, “Wise Up Ghost.”

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Wednesday for the four SoCal dates: April 1 at the Arlington Theatre in Santa Barbara, April 2 and April 3 at the Theatre at Ace Hotel in downtown L.A. and April 5 at the Fox Performing Arts Center in Riverside.
