Behind the confetti drop at the Regent Theater, it's Best Coast

At one point, it felt like New Year’s Eve. At others during the SPIN 2015 Year in Music Party on Thursday night at the Regent Theater, it just felt like the end of a long slog.

Best Coast headlined the night, songs from their most recent album “California Nights” sounding particularly booming in the big room, and the crowd was showered with confetti at the end. Chicago rapper Tink and her comrades tried their best to amp up the crowd when it was at its biggest, and only partially won. Philadelphia’s Alex G performed songs from his breakout album “Beach Music,” with Cleo Tucker and Harmony Tividad from Girlpool making a cameo. YACHT’s Jona Bechtolt and Claire Evans DJ’d for the evening.
