It was a night of good vibes and furious funk on Saturday at the Echoplex, where Dam-Funk & the Light headed up a Stones Throw Records night. After Mayer Hawthorne, Peanut Butter Wolf and DJ Kota got the evening underway, Dam-Funk, née Damon Riddick, and drew took the stage, playing selections from his latest album “Invite the Light.” The headliner had a Lakers cap hung in front of his keyboard; if only the local heroes had some of Dam-Funk’s positive energy and mojo.
