In August, the Bulls — the shoegazing outfit fronted by Anna Bulbrook of the Airborne Toxic Event — headlined a residency at the Satellite that embraced a somewhat-novel idea: Every band who played on those five Monday nights was female-fronted.

Expanding on that concept, Bulbrook has founded GIRLSCHOOL, “a new music and arts collective that celebrates female artists, leaders and voices,” and announced the lineup for the group’s weekend festival, GIRLSCHOOL Field Day Weekend. The three-day affair, Jan. 29-31 at the Bootleg Theater, features 14 live performances from the likes of Maria Taylor, Riothorse Royale, Conway, Miya Folick and White Sea, along with two DJ sets.

The full lineup, in alphabetical order: Alina Bea, CONWAY, Doe Paoro, Gothic Tropic, Kat Corbett (DJ Set), Kate Nash (DJ Set), Kera and the Lesbians (acoustic), Kim & The Created, Maria Taylor, Miya Folick, Nightjacket, Phoebe Bridgers, Riothorse Royale, Steady Holiday, the Bulls and White Sea.

Set times are yet to be announced.

Proceeds benefit the Rock ‘n’ Roll Camp for Girls LA. Tickets are $15 for a weekend pass, or $10 per day individually.
