L.A. rockers Dead Sara have been added as Day 1 headliners as the GIRLSCHOOL Collective announced set times for their Field Day Weekend, a three-day festival featuring all female-fronted acts.
The festival takes place Jan. 29-31 at the Bootleg Theater, where all three of the venue’s rooms will be used. Besides the music, there is an art show, vendors and a panel discussion featuring seven reps from various sectors of the music industry.
Dead Sara, Kim & the Created and Riothorse Royale play the closing sets in the Bootleg’s larger theater room on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, respectively. Yet to be added to the bill for Friday is a special guest performing on the bar stage after the Bulls, whose frontwoman Anna Bulbrook hatched the idea for the festival.
Weekend passes are $14-$20; single-day tickets are $10-$12 and available here. Proceeds from the festival benefit the Rock ’n’ Roll Camp for Girls Los Angeles.
