Chinese New Year Festival 2016: Music lineup announced

The LA Weekly Live Music Stage returns to Chinatown on Saturday, Feb. 13, for this year’s Chinese New Year Festival. The music starts at noon, takes a break for the big 117th Annual Golden Dragon Parade, and then resumes until 8 p.m.

2016’s performances feature Valley Queen, Kid Bloom, Veronica Bianqui, James Allen Spirit, the Slightlys, Molly Moore & Brandyn Burnette, Jubilo Drive and Nightair. The lineup is curated by Buzz Bands LA.

The celebration of the Year of the Monkey in and around Chinatown Central Plaza will also feature cultural performances, artisans, a craft beer garden (opposite the music stage), culinary demonstrations, gourmet food trucks, vendors, vintage photo booths and family activities. It’s free and all-ages.
