Eight more Buzz Bands LA picks for the week

• Tuesday: British singer-songwriter Jamie’s Woon’s second full-length “Making Time” came out in November, and Tuesday he visits the Troubadour.
• Wednesday: Twenty-five-year-old New Zealander Marlon Williams, whose debut album gets a U.S. release Feb. 19, visits the Bootleg Theater.
• Thursday: Baio — that’s Christopher, the bassist from Vampire Weekend, is joined by rising L.A. pop singer Elohim for a show at the El Rey Theatre. Here he was at the Echo in September.
• Thursday: New songs by emerging artists — that’s the theme for the Buzz Bands LA night at the new Highland Park venue the Hi Hat. The Soft White Sixties join Warbly Jets and Alyeska on a night that’s easy on the budget.
• Thursday: The inimitable Benji Hughes visits the Bootleg Theater behind his new album for Merge, “Songs in the Key of Animals.”
• Friday: The popular First Fridays series at the Natural History Museum kicks off its 2016 season with The Hood Internet, Boulevards and more.
• Saturday: Should you desire to Lolipop Your Heart Out, the L.A.-based label has a gang of bands playing the Teragram Ballroom starting at 4 p.m., topped by Mystic Braves and Corners.
• Saturday: WATERS, whose “Up Up Up” EP came out last fall as a follow-up to their second album “What’s Real,” bring their infectious pop-rock to the Troubadour, where Max & the Moon support.
