Mash-up duo the Hood Internet and electro-funk guru Boulevards (aka Raleigh, N.C.’s Jamil Rashad) kicked off 2016’s First Fridays series at the Natural History Museum in a big way on Friday night. On a night for big beats, roaming dinosaurs and occasional outbreaks of science, Mark Redito and KCRW’s Anthony Valadez also DJ’d. The series continues March 4 with Lower Dens and Gardens & Villa as the musical guests.
