The National have said they won’t release a new album in 2016, but they will be touring. The indie-rockers today announced a July 28 at the Greek Theatre.
Frontman Matt Berninger spent much of last year working with his side project El Vey, and said in a November interview that the band would work out new songs live before recording a new album. Their last full-length, “Trouble Will Find Me,” came out in 2013.
Presale tickets for the show go on sale at 10 a.m. Thursday, with general on-sale Friday. Link: July 28 (presale password: TROUBLE).
* An earlier version said the National were playing two nights at the Greek — which is true, except the July 29 show is at the Greek Theatre in Berkeley.
