Welsh rockers Super Furry Animals, doing their first U.S. tour dates in six years, regaled the Roxy Theatre on Thursday night with their psych-glam-space-pop concoctions and madcap antics. The packed house was brimming with a lot of superfans, and some long-timers even brought their kids. Midway the through the set, when they played “Hometown Unicorn,”  Gruff Rhys asked the crowd if anyone remembered their having performed the song eight years before at the Echo. Indeed, many had.
