The Seth Bogart Show was a little bit Pee Wee Herman and a little bit Chippendale’s — and a lot outlandish — on Friday night at the Echoplex. The show was a celebration of his new self-titled album, just out on Burger Records, and a monument to his campy artistic vision. During the course of Bogart’s headlining set, there were plenty of weird dances, fake security guards onstage who stripped, female cops onstage who stripped and a cameo from Chela, who was one of the openers and appears on the album. Geneva Jacuzzi was equally outrageous, performing amid people dressed as Greek statues who then started spray-painting each other and people in the crowd. Oh, and there were some edible balloons too.
