When Fullerton quartet Audacity announced that their fourth album “Hyper Vessels” would be out April 1, they copped to the fact that their albums, and their favorites, were a “mixture of high-brow intellectual moments and silliness.” “Umbrellas,” the second single they’ve unveiled from the album, is exactly that, a chunky power-pop number with the smarts to be a little bit silly. The band has announced a big April tour, too, including a couple cozy local gigs to celebrates the release. “Hyper Vessels,” to be released on Suicide Squeeze Records, was produced by Ty Segall.
