Taking inspiration from “Music for Airports” — Brian Eno’s revolutionary 1978 exploration into the ambient stratosphere — Dublab and Metro Art have joined forces to present live performances and DJ sets at Union Station throughout March.
The month-long series, “Music for Train Stations,” aims to take advantage of the structure’s cavernous and epic Art Deco/Mission Revival architecture, which has graced films as diverse as “Blade Runner,” “To Live and Die in LA,” and “Silver Streak.” The performances will run from 4 to 6 p.m. on Fridays in the station’s waiting room.
The schedule:
March 4: DJ set by Ale with a live performance by The Tenses.
March 11: DJ set by Richard Cartier with a live performance by Electric Sound Bath.
March 18: DJ set by Carlos Niño with a live performance by Stellar Rahim.
March 25: DJ set by Victoria O’Halon with a live performance by Mark Van Hoen.
