Premiere: The Soft White Sixties, ‘Sorry to Say’

Since the release of their 2014 debut “Get Right,” the Soft White Sixties have relocated from the Bay Area to make L.A. their home base and set about adding some muscle to their infectious rock ’n’ soul. And as musical powerlifting goes, the quartet’s new song “Sorry to Say” is beefcake, a classic, galloping rager right down to the “ah-ah-ah-ahhh” response to the chorus. The quartet — Octavio Genera, Aaron Eisenberg, Joey Bustos and Ryan Noble — has a new album on the way, (release date to be announced), but longtime followers might recognize “Sorry to Say.” “This tune has lived in our live set in various forms for a little while now,” Eisenberg says, “but it finally matured into a full-blown song over a few sessions with Matt Linesch last summer at United Recording. Hold on to your smartphones.” Or better yet, pocket them so you can clap along.
