Nick Waterhouse and The Buttertones entertained a Friday night crowd at Bootleg Theater with vintage sounds worthy of more than a little shimmy. The Buttertones opened the night with music from their latest release, “American Brunch,” rocking their favorite rhythms from the ’50s and Æ60s. Waterhouse followed with his firebrand R&B, giving the crowd a taste of the music he’s been recording for his next album.
