Desert Stars Festival to feature Dinosaur Jr., Sebadoh and more

Veteran rockers Dinosuar Jr. and Sebadoh head up the first round of artists announced for the ninth annual Desert Stars Festival, to be held Sept. 23-24 at Pappy & Harriet’s in Pioneertown.
The annual convocation of psych-rock, shoegaze and alternative bands also boasts Moon Duo, Kurt Heasley of Lilys, Magic Wands, Tennis System, Band Aparte, Winter and more, with additions to the lineup expected this summer.
Early-bird weekend passes are available for $100; single-day tickets are $65. There are hotel and camping packages available as well. Ticket info here.
Hey Kevin. I noticed the other desert festival not named Coachella, Desert Daze, has not announced their lineup yet. Have you heard if the Moon Block folks will be returning to Mecca, California this spring, or is the festival moving elsewhere, or taking the year off? Thanks for all your tips.
