“Music videos are bullsh*t,” the caption reads 15 seconds into the new Dilly Dally music video. “What a waste of time. What a waste of money.” And … their point is? Are the Toronto punk-rockers somehow offering to refund the 2 minutes 19 seconds you spend thrashing around in front of the computer screen watching director Scott Cudmore’s assemblage of virtually free bytes? Because you shouldn’t want a refund. It’s fine, really. It could have been piffle like this. The song is the highlight of Dilly Dally’s album, “Sore,” out last fall. After blowing some hair back on their first visit to L.A. in November, the quartet — Liz Ball, Katie Monks, Benjamin Reinhartz and Jimmy Tony — return this month as part of a 17-date North American tour. Neither a waste of time nor money.
