Ohana, a new two-day music festival at Doheny State Beach in Orange County, debuts Aug. 27-28 with a formidable lineup including Eddie Vedder, Elvis Costello, Lana Del Rey, Cat Power, Band of Horses, City & Colour and X.

Filling the late-summer void created when Doheny Days vanished into the ether after its 2012 event, the new festival is the joint venture of LiveNation and Synergy Global Entertainment. (And, yes, it’s the same weekend as FYF Fest in Los Angeles.)

Admission is $99.50 (plus fees) for a one-day pass and $199 (plus fees) for a weekend pass. They go on sale at 10 a.m. Tuesday for American Express card-holders. General on-sale is 10 a.m. Friday. VIP options are available for $499.

The lineup breaks down like this:

Saturday, Aug. 27: Eddie Vedder, Elvis Costello, Band Of Horses, X, Mudhoney, White Reaper, Jack Irons, Lily Meola and more.

Sunday, Aug. 28: Lana Del Rey, City and Colour, Cat Power, Corinne Bailey Rae, Ryan Bingham, Jonny Two Bags, Wilderado and more.

In addition to festival fare such as craft beers and food, pro surfing champion Kelly Slater will curate a surf and ocean awareness exhibition in the festival area.

The festival will be preceded on Friday night by the Ohana Luau at the Ritz-Carlton in Laguna Niguel; it’s hosted by comedian Jeff Ross, with guests Vedder and Slater and music from the Joe Doe Experiment.

A portion of the proceeds from all events will benefit the San Onofre Parks Foundation.
