As the moment quickly approaches for Adam Green to unleash his mutinous version of “Aladdin” on the world through a live performance and screening tour, we have one more colorful peek into his wacky world of papier maché make-believe to gnaw on. It’s like an appetizer that tastes like glue and smells like, um, drugs. Wouldn’t call “Nature Of The Clown” a love song, though there are carnal aspects to the lyrics. It concerns doing naughty things to other people, mostly doggy-style, according to this video starring Green’s famous rebel friends. “Aladdin” is the climax of all Green’s talents coming together in one wild ride. Music, storytelling, and art, a whole world built out of cardboard and licentiousness slathered with social critique.
