Little Green Cars’ sold-out show Tuesday night at the Echo was a jubilant affair, and it came complete with a poetry reading. Part way into the set, Stevie Appleby paused to read a poem about the Dublin quintet’s new album “Ephemera.” His poem included the line, “Let me now explain why in our photos we don’t smile,” and thoughts on the transitory and personal nature of music. Yet there were smiles aplenty throughout the night as he and bandmates Dylan Lynch, Donagh Seaver O’Leary, Adam O’Regan and Faye O’Rourke played songs from the new album, released last month, and from 2013’s debut “Absolute Zero.” Minnesotan John Mark Nelson opened the show.
