The relatively simple text-based video for the second of five tracks on Nosaj Thing’s “No Reality” EP (out today via Innovative Leisure) is not the reason we beckon you here. It’s to visit the new interactive website for the artist born Jason Chung. No, really, go here, and lose yourself for a while. Click, drag, immerse. The new interactive site is the work of Amsterdam-based Timetable artist Ben Wegscheider, who says, “I focused on creating dynamic visuals that support the vibe of his new EP to create an immersive experience for the audience. It’s a trip through ‘No Reality’ audio waves.” Meanwhile, Nosaj Thing’s upcoming “No Reality” tour, which includes Coachella appearances and a date at the Regent Theater, will see the L.A. auteur again collaborating with multimedia artist Daito Manabe (Bjork, Squarepusher, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Perfume), who did Nosaj Thing’s “Eclipse/Blue” and “Cold Stares” videos. The tour presentation will make use of augmented reality, 3D scanning and motion capture and builds on the duo’s collaboration at last year’s Taico Festival in Japan.
